Doctor's referral:
You do not need a referral to see a physiotherapist. Many of our patients will have GP or specialist referral but it is not necessary. Length of consultation: Your initial consultation will take between 30- 60 minutes depending on your individual condition. You will receive a thorough assessment and initial treatment at this consultation. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your first appointment to allow time to fill in the patient information form. Your review consultations will take 30 minutes. Bringing babies and children: You are very welcome to bring your baby or children to your appointment. Group sessions: No group sessions are available as all treatments are private and individualised. Your Physiotherapist will liaise closely with your Personal trainer/ Gym/ Pilates instructor as required and with your consent. |
Claiming on Medicare:
Physiotherapy is not covered under Medicare unless you are on an Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC) where Medicare will provide a partial rebate of the fee charged. Payment: Payment is required on the same day as your consultation. If you have private health insurance, a HICAPS service is available which may provide an on-the-spot partial rebate of the fee charged (depending on your health fund). Rescheduling appointments: If you are unable to keep your appointment, please give the practice 24 hours notice prior to your appointment time. |
